Officer Tippit Memorial - On November 22, 1963 Officer Tippit pulled up to the curb and rolled down the passenger side window to speak to a man walking on the sidewalk. As officer Tippit was getting out of his squad car the man, later identified as Lee Harvey Oswald pulled a gun and shot Tippit 3 times. Oswald then walked around the car and shot Tippit once more. There was one eye witness to the shooting and 5 people who saw Oswald walking away reloading his gun. Oswald was originally arrested for the murder of Officer Tippit. It wasn't until later that Oswald was connected to the JFK shooting. J. D. Tippit Memorial, East 10th St. and North Patton Ave. Dallas TX.
