Peacefully Resting In Pieces – Two years after Mildred was blown up in a car bomb, her Herbert "The Cat" Noble stopped at the curb to pick up his mail. When he opened the mailbox a bomb exploded that left a 4ft deep crater in the ground. The hitmen scattered a deck of playing cards across the wreckage as a signature to claim the $30.000 contract on Noble's head. August 7,1951. The two now rest peacefully side by side. The Nobles are probably the only married couple in Texas to have both met their demise by explosion. Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas TX.
