Satanic Panic at One Eleven Ranch - The Satanic Panic began in the 1970s after the release of movies like Rosemary’s Baby and the Exorcist. By the 1980s, rumors were going around the Garland community about the old, abandoned Boy Scout Park. Local newspapers reported that teenagers had seen people at night in the woods wearing hooded cloaks, chanting, making sacrifices, leaving dead animals hanging in the trees. The community resolved to reclaim this acreage from pagan rituals, so they installed a few picnic tables and a large playscape. The rest of the land was converted into an 18 hole golf course. Now, most of the cursing is aimed at sand traps and small white balls.
