A Settee with Dragons, Elephants and Peacocks - Once a lovely French provincial sofa with carved flowers and brass tacks, its demise began with Buddy, a previous grumpy cat who ripped the upholstery apart. After that, the raw cotton stuffing started falling out in clumps, and then the horsehair padding begun pushing through the seat slats. Susan with her usual flamboyant, DIY elegance dug into her collection of textiles from around the world and transformed this decrepit couch into a menagerie of dragons, elephants, and peacocks. It’s still uncomfortable as hell to sit on, but it looks beautiful.
